Alternative Medicine, Therapies, Treatments.

I have a friend who has nasopharynx cancer. She opted to undergo integrative medicine instead of chemo-radiation since integrative medicine costs way smaller than chemo-radiation. Is integrative medicine advisable? Is it effective?

Integrative should mean using the best of all worlds of medicine. In this case, that should be chemo and radiation, which can be curative for this disease. The alternative therapies added to chemo and radiation could be almost anything, and unfortunately little of it is proven of value- most definitely though your friend should get chemoradiotherapy if he/she would like to properly treat this disease. Cost is a poor reason to choose therapy when one therapy is clearly superior.

    Blessings

It is both ineffective and often expensive. You often hear that alternative treatments are inexpensive in contrast to “Big pharma controlled” conventional treatment. But this is far from always the case. See for instance http://www.123hjemmeside.dk/cancer_is_not_a_fungus/21160733
