I like how you call it the tree of life and it actually looks like a tree with the entangling roots and such. I never viewed a placenta in such a way before. I have alot more respect for it now.

Tree of Life! What a cool way to think about it!

Beautiful! I love the ‘baby’ meeting the baby! I’m due with my fifth child in about 5 weeks. My other 4 are all girls! So you and I are opposites! Thanks so much for sharing!

Hey, where did you get that scale? My last two births were UC and I had a digital fish scale but I found it to be inaccurate. It seemed to change it’s mind the more times I used it. Thanks

Jude is my fourth boy. Yes, born unassisted at home. My others, except for my oldest, were born at home w/ a midwife.

strawberryme08 July 22, 2010 at 4:41 am

How many kids do you have and did you have a HOME unassisted birth by chance? cute pics

tofandarya July 22, 2010 at 5:11 am

wonderful! wish some one would have taken a placenta pic for me. I think everyone was too distracted by that point, and i never thought to ask. Although its still in the freezer… it just wouldn’t be the same haha
